Starting up

I have decided this is it! I am tired of being overweight and making excuses for myself. I am tired of creating eating plans and not following them. I am tired of being tired. I will be starting anew on January 5, 2014. Now most people will see this as just another New Years Resolution that won't last. Truly, it's just the best Sunday to being my new life. I am giving myself a week to plan and settle in to this new life I am living.

Now, we all know you have to have a series of goals when you are starting/restarting a fitness and eating plan. The first two weeks of January my goals are simple, eat healthy and workout moderately. This is a long road I am starting and the best way to start is to gradually get into it. Don't we warm-up before we work out? then why can't I warm up to my new way of life.

I have signed up for a 12 week Transformation Challenge at Bodybuilding.com. Now, I can make my own workout schedules as I have done for years, but I want the change of a successful fitness competitor's program. There is a built-in incentive to this as well to help my motivation. As if getting my body back isn't motivation enough, I am competing for a $50,000 prize. Now will I win the prize, probably not. But that doesn't mean I can't work hard to earn it, and earn my body back in the process.

Now I say good luck to me.
Alicia

P.S. Check back after the New Year as I give you an update. Plus I will embarrassingly post my measurements for all to see.
